When we were driving away Dee looked back and saw something in the water we hadn't seen before. A straight line of white getting larger, then it started making a turn. It was a school of white pelicans, two abreast and about a 150 yards long. These birds migrate south for the winter and nest in the northern states and Canada during the summer. Something in the water scared them and about 20 flew in the air, we could see the black in their wings. Eventually they were going to circle and trap the fish for feeding. The birds were too far off to take a decent photo with a point and shoot camera. Line of birds first seen about two inchs left of the island.
