Working on positioning two stars (piggy back) and got a bomb (left pic - move light blue tile to create cluster). This example is in the latter part of a game, bombs are hard to get rid of. Had two choices in how to drop tiles, choice I am illustrating and moved was the lower percentage of dropped tiles. If I moved the left light blue tile right into the 3 tiles, 4 would have dropped - better move. Purple would have been in same place either way, next move is to cluster purple and hope an orange tile drops.
Orange tile dropping in blue cluster was good luck. Doesn't always go that way. Notice we have an orange star tile that will move to the same column below the bomb. The non star orange tile (left pic) will drop one when purple tiles disappears. When a star tile is included in a bomb cluster (right photo), all tiles of that color will disappear from board.
Good example of tiles falling in place. From the pic you see the light green cluster will disappear. White line in circle shows the dark green will cluster while falling and disappear. Picture on right shows the result, bomb is at 5 and combos to go drops 2. Bomb dropped 2 tiles as expected (light green and dark green). Other column to left opened 4 tiles, two blue dropped. One of the blue had a star on it. Next move of turning the blue star into bomb and other blue tile creates a cluster. Once again a bomb cluster with a same color star tile eliminates all that color on the board. We are on our way to getting the third pearl, by purposely positioning the stars near the other two pearls (via piggy back method - white line shows star rotation and moving piggy back star).
